The museum is divided into two components - the main building, which is the former home of the Canadian National Superintendent and Prescott Park, a larger, full-scale railway exhibit.
The house, built in 1916, showcases displays which shed light on the region's heritage in relation to railroad, mining and lumber industries. The museum house also has a gift shop and tea room. Prescott Park features a 1944 mountain-type steam locomotive, a Northern Ontario school car, two former INCO electric locomotives, a slag pot car, two cabooses, a baggage car, snowplough and numerous pieces of underground mining equipment. The site is also home to a boxcar home and a section man shed displaying a unique collection of speeders and handcars. Visit, enjoy our hospitality and discover what real railroading is all about.
